Amazon has the PS3 Slim available for sale. Order yours now for $299, I’m sure these will sell out fast. I just ordered one and will be posting a full review and pictures shortly. Stay tuned and find out if the Playstation 3 Slim meets the hype.
Recently Sony came out with a larger 250 PS3 Slim. It is the same size as the current model, but features a 250GB hard drive. For an extra 50 bucks you can get twice the space, which can be used to store movies, music, photos, gamesaves, and game installations on the drive.

Playstation3 is relying upon Final Fantasy XIII
to steer them ahead of Nintendo Wii and Microsoft 360. Now the question is whether ‘active time battles’, ‘Lightning’, ‘Snow’ and a story set in a fantasy world of Pulse can do the magic for PS3.
Final Fantasy series of games have been most popular games in Japan. Final Fantasy XIII was launched in Japan on 17 Dec, initiating a highly speculative period about PS3’ fate.
As Final Fantasy XIII has been released exclusively for the PS3 it’s expected to steer console sales for PS3 worldwide and especially in Japan. Sony expects to sell at least half a million consoles as a result of the game’s success.
PS3 has recently released Slim, which is a much cheaper and better model than Xbox 360. With Final Fantasy XIII and other exclusive titles, such as, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, The Last Guardian, Sony expects a huge boost in console sales.
God of War III
is the forthcoming game in the series of God of War series of games. At the 2009 Spike Video Game Awards, God of War III was awarded the Most Anticipated Game of 2010 award.
The game play in God of War IIIwill be similar to that in the previous games in the series. There are only three weapons as confirmed by the publisher so far- Bow, Blades of Chaos, and the Cestus- a pair of fist gauntlets shaped like lion heads. While the rest two are a familiar God of War weapons, Cestus is a new addition and seems to be pretty useful. It’s supposed to be able to break solid objects and even rocks.
The Golden Fleece appears on Kratos’ arm in gameplay trailers and the demo, and the Icarus’ wings, showing that he keeps both from his adventure in God of War III.
In October 2009, the game’s marketing team announced the God of War III. With a pre-order, you’ll get an exclusive digital content limited edition God of War art book, God of War: Unearthing the Legend Franchise documentary, sculpted replica of Pandora’s Box, God of War combat arena and premium Kratos skins. Pre-orders for the Ultimate Edition began on October 30, 2009.
Demon’s Souls is a PS3 exclusive fantasy action RPG game developed by From Software. The game has been described as a dark fantasy theme with roots in King’s Field games.
In Demon’ Souls you can customize characters, names, gender, hairstyle and other normal characteristics. Players fight off against a variety of different evil beasts and monsters. You get a full arsenal of weapons to fight with. You also get ‘magic’ to use as weapon to defend yourself. A player can continue to play even after dying, even though with lesser powers. Dead players can regain their life back after killing a specified demon. Another strange feature of this game is how you can collect souls of dead soldiers and heroes and can exchange them for equipments and weapons.
A 192-page special strategy guide titled,’ Demon’s Souls Official Perfect Guide’ was released in 2009. The guide will help you with a complete data of weapons, armors,items, maps, and secrets.
A deluxe edition costing $10 extra is also available only in North America.
There is no dearth of music games now with Guitar Hero
and soon to be released Karaoke Revolution up on every musician’s list. Most music games require some sort of extra gadget to enjoy the game to the fullest. Guitar Hero has its guitar, while Karaoke Revolution comes with mikes and lights.
